An altitude specialist, usually over 750m and often a lot higher. The uppersides of both sexes are brown, the male being plain brown and having no blue scales or lunules at all, although the female is indicated by a few uph orange lunules. The defining characteristic is the unh white streak from the cell spot, along v5 to the post-discal spot. It is usually tied closely to the larval host plant, various species of geranium.

11803: a male, rather worn.

2142: the stronger markings, especially the lunules, indicate female.

3084: by contrast, 3084 is clearly a male. There is an interesting Y-shaped discal spot on the unh.
